Applications
Please complete the form and post or fax it to the Aged Care Staffing Agency. The application form can be located at the bottom of this page. Once your application has been reviewed we phone you as soon as possible to organize an interview.
In order to ensure you can commence work as soon as possible we will need the following:
MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) screening
If you have:
(a) worked in a hospital
(b) residential facility or
(c) an in- patient of a hospital
outside of WA in the last 12 months. This includes those coming form the Eastern States of Australia or overseas.
Criminal Record Screening
It is required of the Aged Care Act 1997 that you supply a current (not greater than 3 years old) National/ Federal Police Clearance. The Police clearance must be taken to all Aged Care facilities and produced on request of management.
If you have been a citizen or permanent resident of a country / countries other than Australia since turning 16 years of aged you are required to sign a statutory declaration stating you have not been convicted of murder or sexual assault or convicted of and sentences to imprisonment for, any other form of assault.
All staff are obliged to immediately inform the Agency of any conviction incurred since the issuing of their last current National / Federal Police Clearance.
Registration
Registered nursing staff (RN’s and EN’s) must ensure that their license to practice is current at all times. The new license must be sighted prior to the expiry date or anniversary date of the registration.
